Visit 1: Sniff, Socialise & Chat
Your puppy's visit to Maggies Mates begins with a fun exploration session where you stay by their side the entire time. I will let them sniff around the salon to get used to the environment while I gently handle their feet, ears, and tail. Through endless praise and positive rewards, I make this a happy experience while chatting with you about your breed’s specific grooming needs.
Visit 2: Splash & Shake
During the second visit, your puppy experiences the fun sensation of water on their body, face, and ears. I will introduce my bathing tools and gentle dryer slowly so your pup learns that bath time is nothing to fear. This is an essential life skill for every single dog breed, whether they need regular grooming or not.
Visit 3: Brush, Trim & Play
This session combines everything from the first two visits and introduces a gentle brush and tidy-up trim if needed. I focus heavily on desensitisation playtime, gently holding their paws, opening their ears, and stroking their tails. This playful handling helps them get naturally accustomed to typical grooming movements.
Visit 4: The Full Groom and Graduation
For the final visit, your puppy is ready for their very first full groom because they now feel safe and confident. This complete care session includes a bath, brush, face trim, nail cut, ear cleaning, and a breed-specific coat tidy.
